Resident Chippo by the village?

well i just got this game and im lovin it,but right in the corner where theres some trees theres a chippopotamus turned on its side walking into the ground.

i dont understand this, is this the same with every other game or just my'n???

Does any1 else see a chippopotamus out in the trees behind the tower of sour? Hes lying on his side, wriggling around, but hes blue, i.e. hes not a non-resident. Hes been there since the beginning of the game, at first i thought i would have to help/free him like some other pinata, but no, hes just been there the whole game, idk y.

That Chippo is trapping the Goobaa, but I won't tell you how to free it!;)

Put some long grass (4 pinometers) and 5 snowdrops in your garden. A ceratin pinata will show up behind the Chippo. Collect 5 candanarys, and it should wake up.

Sounds like you haven't met the Unblock requirements for the Goobaa yet, and he's still sleeping. Check the in-game journal.

As has been noted earlier in this thread, that Chippo' is in everbodies garden. He'll get sorted as you play through the levels.

Hello everyone...

I bought this game a couple days ago and I've been loving it so far, but i noticed something a bit odd last night whilst playing single player; there's a Chippopotamus stuck on a hill in the background:

I though nothing of it to begin with, 'probably just a temporary glitch', but i booted the game up this morning to see that it was actually still there.
I've not actually made a Chippopotamus resident in my own garden yet, so why it is actually in colour is beyond me, but i do recall being in my friends garden a couple nights ago, and a guy came in and did a some sort of glitch letting him get a load of pinatas instantly :confused:. This one i believe; http://pinataisland.info/forum/showthread.php?t=12816 . I'm pretty sure he put a couple Chippo's in there...

....anyway, i was wondering if anyone else has come across anything like this, or knows how to prevent/get rid of this?

If you read the other posts (which I can see you haven't) then you'll understand that this Chippo is in everyone's garden and is trapping the Goobaa. It's just part of the game.

I saw this pinata that looked like a resident Chippo on the hill by the Arocknid cave and the village, so I tried to get a pic of it, but it didn't say that there was a Chippo there. I tried a few more times, then I got this concept art pic...but that's not what I'm talking about. Why is it there? Is it a Chippo, or might it be Willy Builder?

MEDIA MAN is right, make the gooba apear and it will be blocked behind the chippo and get 5 candaries to wake it to set the goobas free. Only i think the game should not have made it resident colors because when i started the game i was like " hmm why is there a resident chippo over there?"

Oh. Thanks guys. BTW, do you know why I got a concept art while trying to take a pic of it? And is it just me, or are almost all of the used-to-be pets being trapped? The Pudgeon, Ponocky, Barkbark, and now the Goobaa!

I don't know how you got concept art for it, but thats lucky. I only have one of pester. well, i can tell you the barkbark is trapped but the kittyfloss and cluckles are not trapped. The others incase you dont know who are traped are the dragumfly, elaphinilla, eaglair, the swanana, and the fizzlybear, arocknid and i think thats it

It was probably the thing i hated most which was to get five candaries but only three went to wake it. thats waht some others did. But i was so happy that you only needed two mallowolfs to get he parryboo. The one i forgot that was blocked was a parryboo by the way

Yes, you only need 3, REPEAT 3, candarys to unblock the goobaa. I did it just this morning.

Also, the eaglair should be blocked because otherwise getting master romance for buzzenge would be impossible!

this is weird can someone tell me if this is supposed to be there I was looking in the background the hill to the left of proffesson pesters volcano/hideout and I saw a Chippopotamus out there it was fully colored not black and white I took a picture but its so far out that all you can make out is the colors but its the right color for a Chippopotamus so does anyone else have that or is it just me?!?!?!

It's blocking the Goobaa from visiting your garden. You must unblock Goobaa by having 5? Candaries to wake up the sleeping Chippo. Also have appear requirements for Goobaa. Then Goobaa can visit you.

You don't need Live to send pinatas to parties. Langson's challenges send them to a party in the pinata world on your Xbox rather than someone else's. It's a good way to get some XP and a few extra coins.

Several species are blocked (http://www.pinataisland.info/viva/Unblock#Species_with_Unblock_requirements) from visiting the garden, by items, ruffians, or other pinatas. This is part of Professor Pester's plan; it's not a glitch or anything.

Ah, that explains it then. When my sister first showed it to m from her garden, I thought it might be a pololly bear, while at first she thought it was my Choclodocus in my garden, but mine is pink so that couldn't be it. I guess we were both wrong. :scratch:

I had a problem similar to this with the original Viva Pinata as one of my mousemellows went out of my garden and just stood there by a tree I ended up deleting my game and starting over (didn't get that far so was the easiest option) and it did solve the problem because with that mouse stuck it never would allow a second one to become a resident, I had no way to entice it back to the garden and it didn't show up on my resident list ...

Now in my Trouble In Paradise game ...

The Chippo is preventing the Goobaa from visiting.

Don't ask me why it's in resident colors though.

okay, you're probably thinking its the same old question about how to get it. well you're wrong. in the game if you are facing the tour of sour to the left a little in the back on the road there is a chippo. how do i get him unstuck?
and should i have been able to already get a chippo if i didnt ? because ive had one already.:confused:

Then, you will be able to get your visit award for Goobaa. This Chippo has nothing to do with the ones who visit the garden really...he's just sleeping up the hill :)
