Paper Pets (missing?)

I am at level 41 and, so far, when i go into Miss Petula's Paper Pets store, my ONLY options are Buy and Sell Accessories and Gift Accessories... no option to buy Paper Pets.

I have a Dragonache egg that needs a Cluckles to hatch it... but no apparent way of getting a Cluckles. (or any other of the Paper Pets).

Can anyone shed light on this dilemma?

It can hardly be a glitch that only I am having...that would not make sense.

Any and all serious suggestions are welcome !!!

Sorry, but you have to GET a Cluckles, not buy it.

In the original game, one bought Domestic Pinatas from Miss Petula...
a Cluckles used to cost 1,100 CC -- available once one reached level 8.

have the rules changed in TIP? I do not have the official guide as yet...
so this is quite a puzzle.

Like any othe pinata, you have to attract it by growing one corn plant, and having no pretztails

According to the guide:

Appear:
Grow one Corn Plant in the garden

Visit:
There cannot be any Pretzails in the garden.
Grow three corn plants in the garden.

Resident:
There cannot be any Pretzails in the garden.
Has eaten three peices of Corn.

In short, many things have changed between Classic and TiP.

corn and no pretzails did the trick... (hard to figure out intuitively however, given the pattern set by the original game)
i get my official guide tomorrow...meanwhile will read up on paper pets.
Still making many... many...decoy sacrifices to Pester in order to make romancing progress with my special pinatas :(

Hello can someone please help me, I'm at level 43 yet at paper pets there is still no option for me to buy pinatas, such as the pinocky??? Can anyone shed some light on this please as I'm so confused?! :(

If you look at the Paper Pets article, you'll see that Petula no longer sells domestic pinatas in Trouble in Paradise.

If you want to obtain one of the domestic ones, such as the Ponocky, meet the requirements on its Trouble in Paradise tab.

It seems strange. I mean you can go anywhere and get a dog or cat in real life but they took out the option to buy them from Paper Pets in this one. Having to attract one from the "wild" seems a bit silly.

Considering all the work you had to do to get so many of the first game's pinatas as residents, I thought it was NICE of the developers to give you a few freebie ones if you had the cash. Too bad they took out that feature.

I love the way the domestic pinatas are now as BIGsheep says "feral". Atleast now its not easy levels from just buying 7 pinatas of each type. Now there is a challenge to get the domestic pinatas.

Hey there I'm currently a 47 gardener and have just had the diggerling unearth a Dragonache egg. I went to paper pets to buy Chuckles but none of the pets are there. No Chuckles, no Bark Bark.. actually none of the pinatas that could be bought from Paper Pets are there. I remember from the last VP that you could buy Chuckles from PP to hatch the Dragonache egg. Am very appreciative in advance to anyone who can help me..

Does anyone know how to unlock Chuckles in Paper pets. None of the Pinatas that should be there are there. I'm level 47 and thought they would be there by now. My diggerling has just unearthed a Dragonache egg and I'd like to hatch it.

Paper Pets no longer sells pinatas in Trouble in Paradise, just accessories. All the previously Domestic pinatas now have requirements to appear, visit and become residents, just like other pinatas. Check out the "TiP - Standard" tab of the wiki's Cluckles article for more guidance :-)

Yesterday, I started playing the VP:TIP and when I had my first ear of corn I had a message that a cluckle was attracted by it and I saw it - in black and white.

My question is - is there a wild cluckle which I can attract to my garden or is it still just a domestic animal and this was just to distract me? :rolleyes:

I made a quick search in the forum, but I did not find any similar question.

I have looked at Cluckles at Wiki - it says that it's a domestic animal, but why did I see it in black and white before the shop with pets was available?
I did not see it in VP Classic.

Is that a bug?

Did you look on the TiP - Standard tab, or were you looking at the Cluckles Classic tab's details? The two games handle domestic pets completely differently.

In Trouble in Paradise, domestic pinatas are not sold in a store. They are obtained by meeting Appear, Visit, and Resident requirements for each of the domestic species (http://pinataisland.info/viva/Category:Domestic).

Ok, so i got to level 40, n was a little suspicious yknow?

Well, im now at the point where i want roarios, etc - and well, i need zumbugs. ok, cool - from the first game i know how to get horstachios - zumbugs, etc. Which means i need a ponocky. I thought some stuff might be different from the first game, but ive looked on here, and apparently its not.

Ok, you probably dont know what im on about. Im level 43 - and for some reason, 'Paper pets' does not have the pinata buying section unlocked for me. isnt that supposed to unlock at like.. level 20? Also, i have not seen ivor, who i saw a long time ago in the first game - but im assuming hes still in the second? Another irritating point - when i levelled up to 40 - i got told seedos had a final important seed for me - after oak. Well, im now level 43, and after asking him about 20 times between then, and hitting him a lot, i just have a lot more orchids. WTH is going on?! I physically cant finish the game if i cant access the paper pets pinata store! anyone know what to do?

I thought some stuff might be different from the first game, but ive looked on here, and apparently its not.

There are a lot of differences between Classic and Trouble in Paradise. Where exactly did you look? The wiki's Ponocky article should have explained how you get one in TiP.

Ivor can be found in TiP, but I won't spoil it. You can search the wiki if you want details. In the meantime, all his merchandise can now be found at Costalot's.

I think the problem is that many people are unable to adapt to this. Also, since Petula no longer sells us those wonderful Papery Pets, please change her shop's name in the next game, BigSheep.

Ok to get a horstachio you must have 50 pinometers of grass and hay bails I believe, It has nothing to do with a ponocky. Ivor is in the second, but he does something different. As well as I'm having troule getting the last seed from seedos as well.

Domestic pinatas are attracted from the wild, as mentioned at the wiki's Paper Pets (http://www.pinataisland.info/viva/Paper_Pets) article.

You can always search the site for answers like this, since you're not the first person to ask that question :)
