Does anyone know how to get the Famous Pinata achievement?

One of my WC Bispotti is a Superstar but I haven't gotten the achievement, why is this?

Do I have to keep sending him to parties? Is there a step after Superstar which will unlock me the achievement?

i tried to send my cocoadile to parties over and over again. after his 11th visit a message popped up that he is now famous. BUT the achievement says that you have to download one from the website oder trade with someone who has. so i guess everyone except me will get the achievement if my cocoadile would be downloaded from the website. if this is the case then it sucks. but i'll wait for a confirmation.

It isn't pinatas that other people make. It only works if you download a special pinata from the site. I believe they have to be official ones made by the developers and not just any downloaded one. I haven't gotten the achievement yet either, but I've used several downloaded pinatas.

What constitutes a Famous Pinata? Does anyone here have one, or does anyone know where to find their vision cards?

I don't think anyone has an answer yet. Kind of like the 3rd WC topic. A lot of people are looking but no concrete answer.

I know if/when I find one I'll make a thread here for members to sign up and we can simply ship the pinata around to each other. Then there person who has it can just ship it to the next person. That way we as a community can help each other get the acheivement.

i just got a robean or hatever its called and lefos said it was famous and it had a star by the side of it (different from the wild card star i think), i didnt get the achievement but i sent it to a friend so i will se if he gets the achievement when he gets home from work if he does ill post back and send it to you guys

I was hoping that would work however I think it does say "from the site". So I'd expect there to be either some in amongst the PV cards there or we can expect some in the future. Who knows maybe one of the Rare guys will start this all off by sending it to someone and then it can be passed around to everyone.

You probably won't get the achievement now, for thinking that a famous pinata could be crappy. Besides, I'm sure that's subjective, as what you think is worthless might be valued more by another member :)

I can answer your question, though. It's not the pinata's value that makes it famous, so don't be surprised if a <insert species here> happens to unlock it :p

Don't confuse "famous" and star or superstar. They're completely different from this achievement's point of view.

There are famous pinatas out there, and they're being sent around. If/when you receive one and the achievement unlocks, definitely pass that specific pinata along to your friends, to help share the achievement.

So, in order to get this, you have to get a pinata sent to you by a moderator off here or someone from rare? huh, so much for what I was told. I thought once you reached 980/1000 someone would send it to you. Kept my 360 on all night thinking I would get it sent >_< Well, if anyone has it and is willing to send it my way that would be appreciated.

A couple of FAMOUS PINATA notes:

1. The offspring of 2 genuine famous pinatas will not unlock the achievement. (we tried breeding them and using the offspring and it did not work)
2. You can go into a random game, unpack a crate you sent yourself with the famous pinata that you previously received, and everyone in the room will get the achievement. I would advise you to do this at your own risk as someone MAY be able to steal it. (unless you don't mind just getting rid of it and letting someone else pass it along)
3. The best way to pass this along is to invite people into your garden and give them no permissions so no one will harm or try to steal your famous pinata, then unpack the crate and everyone in the room will get the achievement. at that point pack the crate up and send it to yourself and save it until you can get more people in your room then repeat.
4. My famous pinata was an ICE VERSION of a pretztail. Its name was pretztail or pretztail 1 (can't remember). It was completely normal looking and does not have any qualities to differentiate it from any other pinata as far as i could see.
5. You can not breed your own famous pinata. It must come from a developer of the game.

There's more risk with passing it along, than with a possible PV card. Someone could sell it, smash it, or just keep it, but a PV card, if it works, could never be lost or destroyed, and used by far more people than you could ever trade with.

We won't know until someone tries, to see if it works or not. Do you want to be the person who made that discovery or not? :)

Aren't some of the Famous pinatas supposed to be exclusive? Meaning only one of each pinata can exist across all xbox live. If that is true it might not work as a vision card. But so far, vision cards made by other players are the only reliable Pinata Vision cards I have seen. I can scan them straight from my computer monitor. So where is the line/queue to see the Famous Pinata?

Nope, they're not exclusive. There can be many famous pinatas of a species, and they're famous simply because they come from Twycross.

A pinata's star/superstar fame is not related to the famous pinata achievement. Famous pinatas come from Rare, and you'd have to receive it by crate, or be in someone's co-op when they unpack it.

This was days ago and I don't remember what pinata it was or what happened to it. I didn't get the achievement myself, so I assume you have to obtain it from someone else instead of getting the pinata yourself.

I got my Vision Camera for about $10 used and shipped. Sure, it didn't come in a fancy box, but it was basically brand new. Just look around the Internet and I'm sure you'll find one.

I got a Shellybean! The only difference I see is the tag. A Famous Pinata will have a tag with Jardiniero's face on it. Which implies it was grown by Jardiniero himself. That and it came straight from BIGsheep. Thanks again BIGsheep! I made a garden to breed it and keep it safe. When I got the shellybean it was worth 600 cc's. I have since taught it both tricks, bought it some accessories (Halo of Hardness a must!) and sent it to some parties. Right now it is worth about 3500 cc's. I also keep it's candiosity maxed out. If anyone sees me online tending to my garden feel free to pop over or send me a text message. I will help you get your achievement!

Please heed the last bit of advice. Over the weekend I nearly 100 PMs over Xbox Live, almost half of which were asking for Famous Pinatas. Be assured none of senders will be receiving them... I like my inbox spam free.

First of all, lawlz!

Second, I've been slaving away at this game trying to get all of the achievements after a few months of waiting for it to arrive in my mailbox and passing the time by Simming it up a bit with my new computer, but it seems like it might be impossible to achieve everything without the overpriced camera. I might be just missing the big picture here, but is that true? Do you need to have the camera to get all of the achievements? If so, gg for the awesome Katamari-like disappointment! Not that I won't still get up to as far as I can get without it, but it's not very often that I can actually surpass just beating the story mode and going all out by doing all the achievements on games myself, so it feels good when I can get up in league even barely with my fiance when he's pwning games like COD 4, etc. no problem all the time. I have a feeling that I'm going to be screwed out of getting my last 30 points because I don't have the camera, and it sucks :(

I just got sent 2 famous pinata from BIGsheep (Hoghurt and Sweetle). I'm fairly certain this was an automated process. I'm no huge contributor here - just signed up a few days ago. The message on both crates was the same except for the species name.

I remember that a ton of leafos alerts had been on the screen at the same time. I was working on master romancing Rashberries and I think an egg had just been delivered. I was somewhere between levels 79 and 80. I also got the Master Records Keeper achievement at about the same time (not sure if this was before or after I unpacked one of the crates, which was a species I hadn't made resident yet).

I just scanned in every single community site pinaata card, and i eventually got to the Tartridge, scanned in , is called Abbie, and was already Famous with the star, , that meets the requirements, "famous pinata from the website' but no achievement. I just hope they make it a bit easier, because that special card that does work, isnt easy to get hold of, because people wont let it go

Iv been told that scanning a famous pinata card does not unlock the achievement and a few people have tried to crate it up and unpack but still not working. Even sending to a friend for them to unpack and that didn't work but we can still try.

I'm a bit confused though, as I have two pinatas (an orange flutterscotch and a limeoceros) both of who have been classed as 'famous' by leafos and are displaying an orange star, but I don't have the achievement - are they the same thing as the famous pinatas released by Rare?

The answer to your question is that the famous pinata that leafos tells you is when your pinata is worth a certain amount of CC's. For example your parrybo is worth 50'000 so it will be a famous pinata, make that same parrybo gain 10'000 so he is worth 60'000 and it will be a superstar. To get the famous pinata along with the achievement that everyone else is talking about then you have to acquire it from a particular source such as a friend who has one or download it from a particular website. I got mine a few days ago.

The answer to your question is that the famous pinata that leafos tells you is when your pinata is worth a certain amount of CC's. For example your parrybo is worth 50'000 so it will be a famous pinata, make that same parrybo gain 10'000 so he is worth 60'000 and it will be a superstar. To get the famous pinata along with the achievement that everyone else is talking about then you have to acquire it from a particular source such as a friend who has one or download it from a particular website. I got mine a few days ago.

Hmm...so if I send my pinata worth 50000+ CCs to a friend, they will get it? Might spread the achievement love around if so :)

Hey everyone,

I have acquired two famous pinatas. I'm not entirely sure how I got two but I did. They are famous squazzils and I have named them Nutter and Butter. :) Here's what I'm doing:

I am going to give Butter to the first person who sends me a message via Xbox Live. You must agree to not change his name (Nutter+Butter just go together ;)) and you must agree to pass him on to somebody who needs the achievement. When passing him on, the new recipient must also agree to these rules. This way he is passed from person to person, helping each person acquire the famous pinata achievement. Do not keep him for yourselves, share the wealth. :D

Now, since by the time most people read this Butter will probably already be gone, I can still help people get the achievement with Nutter. Send me a Friend Request with a message and when we are both online, I will invite you to my garden. You'll have looking-only permissions but at least you will finally get the famous pinata achievement. This was the last achievement for me and it took a while for me to get it so I understand how frustrating it is to find someone who has it and even more so, to both be online at the same time.

The famous pinata achievement cannot be gained by scanning a card, you need to find a pinata through trading or in someone's co-op garden that is considered virally famous.

I've got a famous Tigermisu, I'm happy to invite people into my garden so they get the achievement when I release the pinata from it's crate. I'll be happy to help people out with romancing and master romancing if they need help while they are in the garden, also I'm quite willing to give away some pinatas (exceptions being one of my chewnicorns, Roarios and my special pinata), I can breed Tigermisu, Roario, Elephanilla, Chewnicorn, Sarsgorilla and Galagoogoo twin wildcards easily and if you want one, you are free to pack the egg and send it to yourself once I've romanced them, or let me know which you want and I can pack and send it off.

Just send me a message over Xbox Live letting us know that you want the achievment and I will invite you into my garden if I'm online - you can also let me know if you want any eggs or other pinatas and I'll try and get them. Please don't send friend requests to me as my friends list is getting VERY full and I try to keep it as free as possible so that I can add my friends onto it. If you want an egg or something sent to you I'll add you to my friends list but I will most likely remove you from it in a day or two, so if this happens don't be offended by it, it's merely to keep my friends list free :)

Oh and lastly, I'm based in England so adjust accordingly depending on what time you expect me to be online (and even then I've been hitting Fifa as of late). :D

Yes, if you get all 841 awards then you'll get a special pinata. You'll get one at that point whether you've had one before or not, too. You'll get another little something then, too, but you can find what that is elsewhere.

Nope. There's two kinds of "famous" in the game.
Valuable pinatas (e.g., wildcards, been to parties, accessories, ...).
Special pinatas that come from Rare.
Only the special pinatas that come from Rare can unlock the Famous Pinata achievement. It's not possible to get the achievement-related kind of fame from a pinata you've accessorized.

This is not true. hey_its_me is speaking towards getting a pinata to a certain value that it becomes "famous". But this pinata is not a Famous Pinata. The Famous pinata is obtained through getting all 841 awards and then BIGsheep will send it to you via a crate once you let him know you obtained all the awards. Alternatively, you could ask someone on these forums or GameFAQs forums to help you out with that...

Just a quick question regarding protocol.. I am about to hit the 841 awards (within a day or so) and I'm wondering if I am actually supposed to contact BIGsheep or not when I finish. The wiki (http://pinataisland.info/viva/Giant_Goobaa) says to contact him through PM in the forum or over Xbox Live. This thread says NOT to contact him. Which is it, actually?

To be honest, it's now either.

Back when there were less than 1,000 completists out there it was very easy for me to grab the data on who'd completed the game by scraping the stats off the website but now it's harder. I need to get organised and keep a temp account at work with Live capabilities and a disc and I have to remember to and a thousand other things... so if you prod me to remind me I'm not going to complain :)

This happened for me randomly on a whirlm.. I gave him a hat, a moustache, and renamed him Waldo the Amazing. I then got a message that my whilrm was famous, and now he has a little star next to him. I didn't send him to any competitions or anything, so I have no idea why this happened!

I can tell you that it had nothing to do with downloading, cos I wasn't connected to xbox live when this happened.




It's because the wildcard whirlm in that game is worth like 1,000. so if he's like 600 ccs. he is famous. he's famous because his value went up a lot.

A few days ago I finally got all 841 awards, yeah!
I'm really proud of me! :)

I already sent BIGsheep a PM in the forum because I can't wait to get the famous pinata and therefore the final achievement. :mrgreen:

Didn't mean to stress him though. Just wanted to be sure that I don't get overlooked. :)
I can imagine that there are more important things to do than sending pinatas around 24/7.

But I'm so excited, I think I'll keep visiting my garden three times a day until the pinata arrives. :mrgreen:

So...I just gave one of my Geckies the Sombrero hat accessory and the game now has denoted it as a 'Famous Pinata'. Is the same kind of pinata that I should have gotten an achievement for? If not, what exactly does it mean?

Oh wow. i just registered for this site and read through this entire thread and it seems that BIGSheep just sends them out randomlly or to people on his recent players list. If you can't ask for one how do you get one? I have 1000/1000 GS and love this game but just really want a famous pinata to call my own. I guess I've missed the party. :( If anyone is willing to give me one ( i doubt i have anything you'd want to trade for) I am more than willing to accept charity.

Completing all 841 awards is another way to get a famous pinata (http://pinataisland.info/viva/Famous_pinata) of your own, but BIGsheep is unable to send out any crates, due to some technical issues.

A few people have been helping BIGsheep by sending out famous pinatas in the meantime.

It isn't pinatas that other people make. It only works if you download a special pinata from the site. I believe they have to be official ones made by the developers and not just any downloaded one. I haven't gotten the achievement yet either, but I've used several downloaded pinatas.

You cannot download nor create a famous pinata. The "famous" that is achieved within the game, is not the famous needed for the achievement. You have requested that Stanley visit your garden. Just hang tight. Daremo will be sure you get a visit.

To get your very own famous pinata, as Feral Kitty said, you must complete the game, getting all 841 awards. At that time you will be at level 196 and a bit and you will get a message telling you to contact the giant goobaa.

Just as a quick update: there has been some movement on the broken crate delivery system so there might be some light at the end of the tunnel. One of our IT crew has said there has been progress, but until it's back up and running I'm not counting my Cluckles.
