I was wondering many things...
1.) Can you change watering cans (In VP I bought the best can, and I wanted to make gardening take some kind of realism)
2.) Are traps expensive or what, because I don't see the point in actually getting the pinata if you have traps to use.
3.) When you dig a pond, are the borders still dirt?
4.) Is the space limit bigger? If so, how much bigger?

By the way I (obviously) don't have the game, getting it tomorrow.

About trapping pinatas:
Travel to either the Pinarctic or Dessert Desert. From there you can purchase traps and bait. Purchase a trap and lay it down (looks like the bottom of a crate). Purchase bait for the creature you want to capture. Place the bait on the trap. Wait for the pinata to eat the bait and the trap springs automatically and turns into a crate with the pinata inside. Then just post (mail) yourself the crate with the captured pinata. However you will still need to meet the Resident Requirements for that pinata or it will leave.

One of the major things I wanted changing was the border around water not being dirt, it really spoiled the look of the garden. Not sure why it wasnt changed, I guess it wasnt really made clear it was an issue. Even sand cant be put right against the water, oh well.

If you mean upgrade the can, yes. If you mean downgrade the can, no. Once you purchase a newer more expensive watering can that is the only one you have in inventory. So if you want realism (ie have to keep watering the plants as they grow), don't upgrade the watering can. Hope that helps!
