A Rose by any other name would smell so sweet...

So I've got the sour Smellba in my garden, and it says she needs to eat 4 roses. Thing is, I looked in the guide and it doesn't look like costalot sells them! I don't see them under the tinker either, so does anyone have any idea how to get them? The guide says that "a rose garden by level 20 is a good idea" but doesn't tell how to even get the stupid things!

So if anyone knows how to get a rose let me know. :D thankee

smack seedos over the head a couple of times and you might get it

it definately took a while for me to get a rose... infact i think i was nearly 25 or so before it showed up... maybe seedos never gave it to me, and eventually i got it from Lotti.

also, the sour won't eat the rose on its own, you have to deattach the head... something to do with those spikeyness

smack seedos over the head a couple of times and you might get itIf you want weeds, that's a good way to go about it. Trying talking to him instead, he'll give you seeds, and occassionally a new one.

And it doesn't hurt to have a few fully fertilized flowers in the garden, that makes Seedos happy. So does watering him with your watering can, if he's happy and you talk to him, you have a better chance of getting a new seed.

Yeah I'm not gonna lie, I didn't figure out you get weeds after smashing a sour pinata till like the 4th or 5th time- I kept wondering how I got so many weeds! I've been having problems with the stupid hemlocks and the flytraps.

BTW I finally got the roses to show up even tho the game guide doesn't show her as selling them at all. It was just a random seed Seedos dropped. Now as long as I can get turnips...

OMG...Seedos finally gave me a rose seed at Level 30! Now, it's taking forever to grow...next time, I'll dig a hole.

If you fertilise Roses you get a nice payout at the end :) I was probably nearer to level 30 before I got them too. Then I boxed it up pretty sharpish as it kept fighting with my Sprinkling :( A short time after that I had a tame one visit which I managed to reside so I now have 2 Smelbas boxed up and ready to romance. I'm assuming you may get Air FresnEners (why is it called Freshner in the game?) by Tinkering garlic or some outrageously stinky plant? This game has got better as its gone on. At first I was like - OMG this is awful - and it was hard, but I stuck at it and I'm loving it now, except Pester and the darned Limeoceros and I have a looooong way to go yet too.
