Romance Question

Appreciate if anyone can help.

It seems my romance hearts go off after an extraordinaryily short amount of time. so short I cant get the two animals to romance. I've tried everything to turn it off: selling some new garden items i bought, getting rid of some of the other romance ready pinatas (thinking there was a max allowed or something) and even getting rid of pinatas themselves (even when I didn't want to). its at all times of the day and frankly i'm stumped.

any ideas?

you probably have too many pinata in your garden. Try selling 3 or 4 then you should be good to go
