NO DEMO YET, but I thought I might post something that came up today under "Viva Pinata: TIP". It costs 80 Microsoft Points. Here it is:
"Candiosity Video (SD)
"Download this video. All the other pinatas are excited about the rush of upcoming parties, but Fergy Fudgehog doesn't want to go, and needs to decrease his Candiosity if he's to escape the cannonata and children wielding baseball bats! He asks the wise Bonboon for help, but maybe this Bonboon is not a wise ape, just a wise guy."
You mean 80 Microsoft Points (MSP). Who's going to check it out?

It is in the Games section, under "All Games". Then, scroll down (or up) to "Viva Pinata: TIP". Or, visit the New Arrivals section on the Marketplace front and scroll to "Game Videos". It is located there under the same title.

I find this to be absolutely ridiculous myself. Instead of uploading the already finished demo that has been in certification for weeks now, mind you, they upload a very old episode and then charge us for it. For a company that wants their product to appeal to a much broader audience, they sure are doing a very poor job at it.

I'm not necessarily upset over the demo. I will have both Pinata titles tomorrow afternoon. It's Microsoft's shoddy job of promoting Trouble in Paradise that gets to me. It seems as though Microsoft only cares for their Gears and Halo titles. I think Viva Pinata and other games like it should be garnering more attention from MS's PR because it's the broader audience that the Xbox brand is in need of right now.

Actually, I agree with you. Kids these days play too many violent video games. Not trying to be Jack Thompson, but it's either Microsoft's or the Parent's fault. ALMOST EVERY FREAKING DAY, when I go on to Xbox Live, a kid is made fun of, called names just because the adults are either A.Annoyed or B.Someone who needs to SHUT THE HECK UP. Okay, just think for a second. All Microsoft wants to show off is games that adults care about, not younger audiences. So there always like "ZOMG NEW HALO GAME OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!!1!! IT'S BETER DAN ANY HALO GAME EVAR! BUY IT AND MAKE FUN O' LITTLE KID'S OR BE PUNCHED IN THE FACE WITH A REGRET OF NOT BUYING DIS GAME!1jh!1HjH31OI2OUI312039!". They give a "ZOMG BLAEM URSELF CAUSE YOU ARE SO DUMB!1W11 REA DTHEN AGE ,LIMIT NAO!!818!*!*!*8 IT SAYS 17 YEARS OLD NEWB!!!!11 SO JUST BE QUIET AND THE ALDUTS HAVE THE FUN WHILE I HAVE A PARTY WITH MAH WIEF CAUS EI'M SO GREEDY! WEWTNESS!" to kids because they don't realize that they may be harming a child's feeling's...
OR FUTURE.

The truth: Microsoft's platforms are more for the hardcore gamer. No matter what they do, at least over 80% of current owners of the console have played or own these "violent" games.
Honestly, if you want a family experience, the Wii is where its at. It may not have pretty graphics, but it's fun for a family.
Plus, Microsoft is a business. They want to make money. Seeing as the first Viva Pinata wasn't a smash in sales, why would they risk more money on something that's nearly the same as the first just with more features when they can plop one advertisement for Gears of War 2 during a football game and instantly get millions of preorders?
And this also goes into them putting this episode up instead of the demo. People will see it and think they need it. Thus, getting Microsoft some more money. The demo, on the other hand, makes them next to nothing if anything at all.

So many of my peers have been giving me odd looks when I talk about TIP. It's unfortunate that it doesn't get marketing as well as it should because so many people see it as a kids game only. It's very true that the 360 is marketed towards an older market I actually got my 360 solely for Beautiful Katamari and Viva Pinata. But I -never- would have made that decision had I not actually played Viva Pinata first. So I'm certainly not their target market.
Now this VP tv show. I've never watched it. I have no desire to (any tv for that matter). Clearly it's marketed towards kids. So anyone on XBox Live that sees Viva Pinata stuff added and that it's a tv show by a company called 4kids (right?), will probably not even consider a game by the same title. And I think someone said it's an old episode at that. If anything, Microsoft is hurting marketing for VP to a wider audience.
But I know for a fact that everyone I know that has played VP does like it, but it's not one they'd pick up before seeing it first. That's how it was for me too. So it's up to us, you guys. FRIENDS DON'T LET FRIENDS NOT PLAY WITH PINATAS. :D
This is going off-topic. MS is trying to appeal to those "casual" gamers by bringing out the new dashboard.
hylian1, "mind you" made no sense in that sentence.

actually you off topic Rant and Ravers!!! put down your glowsticks and get off your soap boxes for crying out loud.
Personally, I think that they should have had the VP TV show on XBL Marketplace a long time ago, and I also feel that it possibly might go in that direction, seeing as there are now 3 episodes on XBL.
I would gladly pay 80MSP per episode, thats a lot cheaper than other episodes on the marketplace (150-300)
Until 4Kidstv gets their head out of the sand and puts together a DVD series collection, XBL is as good as it gets.
I also agree that 1 show that costs money is the worst way to open up "VP2" day, but stop for a moment and think if Marketing was the sole purpose.
At least when VP:C came out there were 2-3 minutes VP bites about saftey, etc.
