I went to Gamestop today to pick up my pre-order of Harvest Moon: Island of Happiness and I snagged a copy of the strategy guide for TiP.
So those are out now! Hooray!
I don't think I'm going to use it, but I can't help taking a peek!
(I wanted it for the PV cards).
EDIT: I'm in the US, by the way. I have no idea if it's out elsewhere.

If they are actual pages in the book, then they are probably all the same. I'm a little more curious the cards that come packed in the box... I'm guessing those can differ.

Yeh I have the same as PINATAcast. It's just a printed page in the book. I can't say I wasn't a little disappointed. I've had guides in the past that at least had a poster that could be torn out. But hey, Pinata vision cards!
I have a stupid plan of printing out the PV cards on note cards and making them nice like playing cards to keep around.

yea those are the same ones that I got....
I have three questions though.....
1. In the guide it says you can scan a card as many times as you want.... Wouldn't that equal free Master Romancer awards and residental awards? like at level 2 with a Armadillo thingy
2. Will the code to unlock the credits disable achievements?
3. Why did they get rid of purchasing pinatas from Paper Pets?

It costs the base value of the pinata you're scanning, so you have to pay chocolate coins each time you scan an unlocked card. There's no free lunch.
Also, the Master Romancer award has changed. Now it's no longer seven in your garden at once, but three actual romances. So you wouldn't earn a Resident or Romancer award, if you actually didn't get it to reside, or romance it yourself.
As for the domestic pinatas, they're out there in the wild now, and you attract them to your garden and get them to reside, in new and different ways.

1. Cards have different limits on them. Most cards can be used once per pinata day, but others will have different limits, i.e. once only, unlimited, 1 per week, 1 per month, etc. Not all cards have an associated cost. The unlocked ones players will create in the photo tool will have a CC cost, but the ones Rare produces may not.
2. No, it'll just unlock the credits on the frontend.

Good god I haven't been on this site for years...anyways, mind telling me places where PV cards will be?

The Pinata Vision Cards can be found or made:
You can make them by using the in-game camera tool where you take a picture of your pinata and upload them to VivaPinata.com to make them into a card. Sadly, you have to pay an amount of chocolate coins whenever you use the ones you make.
You can also get cards from other people by trading with them.
Rare sometimes gives out PV card prizes for people
You can get 9 free cards when you buy the Viva Pinata: Trouble In Paradise Official Prima Guide.

Went out to one of the local Gamestops to get a Vision Camera (a steal at 20$ with all my gift cards) but they didn't have the guide or any indication TIP comes out in two days. Sad. :(

Seeing what all you say, it's out in the US, but it's not out in Canada yet. Some places say it comes out on September 2 but other places say that it comes out September 5. I probably going to pre-order it at the place where it comes out on September 2.

one thing you goto consider if your buying it from a smaller shop (btw they usually have to wait until the day after release), is that its released on tuesday, sold on wednesday.
the smaller shops wont get it until thursday at earliest. same with a lot of Amazon stores and ebay, unless they do the dumb thing an sell units before they touch them, in which case if somthing goes wrong, people get pissed.
As far as the east coast gamestops are concerned (as i am an employee and my good friend is a regional) Gamestop warehouses will ship the game tuesday morning. If you reserved it, you will get a call tuesday evening letting you know you can pick it up the next day.
If you bought it off the GS site, it will be mailed to you Tuesday as well.
Also, if you want the guide, but it isnt available in your area, download the digital copy off of primagames website.
