Video Converters?

Does anyone know of some good video converters. I have some .ani/.avi (can't remember, whichever one exists :p) that I want to turn into either .MPEG or .WMA so I can put them on my Zune. Unfortunately, the 2 programs I have found so far will only record the sound for some reason, and no video comes up, just audio.

videora (i think its called) is what i used to convert videos for my ipod, its really good, and its free. but i dont know if the files for ipod videos and zune videos are the same
