Trouble in Paradise Demo News

Here are a few tidbits about the upcoming Trouble in Paradise demo:


The demo is shorter than it was for Viva Pinata: Classic, at about 25 minutes rather than 60-75 minutes.
As the tutorial from the first game isn't required, the VP:TIP demo player can get stuck right in to the action.
The demo features one of the sub-gardens and a sample of the new challenge system to introduce the ideas of baiting and trapping.
The demo focuses on the single & same box co-op experiences.
The demo will be out just as soon as possible, it's basically done.

Great news! It should be appearing on the Xbox Live Marketplace any day now.

Pretztail4eva - Thanks for pointing that out. I was thinking that same thing, but hadn't gotten a chance to note it.

Demos are geared towards giving people a taste of a game, particularly people who haven't considered purchasing it. I'm pretty sure most of us are buying the game (I know mine's preordered!), so the demo form is not marketed towards appealing to us, because we already know how awesome Viva Pinata is, not that we wouldn't enjoy a demo. :D

I know I can't wait for the real deal.

Isn't it funny if the demo is online at the same time as the game launch? I thought demo is supposed to give us a preview of what to expect. It is kind of pointless to play the demo if we already buy the game. It is only one more week from the release date and still no demo.

The demo's are intended to give those people who know little about the game an opportunity to dip in to it and hopefully show them what makes it a game they would want to go out and buy. There is no particular reason why we need these people to have already played the demo before the launch date.

Those people who are already intending to buy the game should just go out and buy it when they wish to. You can't save in the demo, so you can't get a head start by playing a demo before the game is actually released.

People, the demo is current undergoing the (from what I hear,) grueling Microsoft certification process. Rare can do nothing to speed this along, nor can they tell us when it will be complete.

I am certain that as soon as the demo has been certified, they will tell us, and we should see the demo shortly thereafter. This may be before, after, or on the day of the launch.

Please, stop hounding them.

Actually Stardos, its only 1 week untill the game comes out. I can wait when I want to, but sometimes, like a lot of people, I'm really impatiented. By the way all the videos look, the day it comes out, we're all going to get it, possibly.

Hopefully this demo will be just as great as the first one RARE :D

The VP:C demo was only about 1 hour long but i must have at least spent about 10hrs+ on it fully trying out the game and seeing hidden things i could discover...then going out the next day and buying the game :p

One of the best 360 games for far i think



It's a shame not many people really got into it, a lot of people think it's just a kids game but they don't realise that the game adapts to how you play it - you can build a very simple basic garden and raise 1 or 2 pinatas, you can set up mass breeding farms to try and get wildcards - or even try and get every species and just make a totally maxed out expensive garden to try and get into the highscores.

Something for the casual all the way to hardcore gamer which is RARE (lol bad joke) in most games these days.




If you haven't played the original VP it's still well worth getting even though the sequal is out in a week of so, gamestation and game (UK games shops) often have VP for under £10 and you can easily get over 50 hrs out of the game without still finding everything there is to do.




Really looking forward to the demo, even if i have the game by the time it's released :rolleyes:

Jimmcq has got a retail copy of the game as have some other lucky forum members.

Bringing everybody back down to earth, the demo could still be several weeks away. The certification process takes time, then it has to make it in to the marketplace schedule and then it's likely Gold Live subscribers will get it before Silver members. Please don't hold your breath for the demo as it's a slow process and asking about it won't make it arrive any sooner. All we can say is that it's coming and we'll announce it when it finally arrives.

If you can't wait for the demo, I'm sure the reviews will start appearing once we reach September 2nd and perhaps you can base your purchasing decisions on those. Thank you,

I hope the demo shifts loads of copies of the game, I figure that I saved £140 playing this game. Why? GTA only took 20 hours game plays.. VP TIP so far..for me at least 200 + hours gameplay. So I saved £140!!
