:p If you didn't see the Halo 3 advertising campaigns, you may not get the reference. Still awesome nonetheless.

XD!!! Did you make it? How did you make the Ruffians?
Nah I didn't make it, I don't have any info on it, like who made it. A dedicated fan? They must've visited here before.

That's funny.......don't know why though. I know all the pinatas came from BK, but where did the Sour Limeocerous ontop of the Goobaa, the 3 Sour Crowlas mauling the Fudgehog, the Ruffians, and Pester holding Hudson come from?

That is absolutely amazing! Whoever made the papercraft pinatas/Ruffians/Pester must've had a lot of time on their hands. :)

Sweet stuff! That must've taken ages to make all those pinatas, ruffians and pester, not to mention along time to film it and edit it.

No, that's not it. Maybe it's all the pinatas being attacked while they're still smiling.

I keep forgetting the name of the song.

I keep forgetting the name of the song.
The song is Frédéric Chopin's "Raindrop" (Prelude No. 15 in Db Major)

And the creator has released a guide (http://pinataisland.info/forum/showthread.php?p=229532) showing how to make the Ruffians from the video.
It's funny because the halo version was like an emotional war scene mood and then in this one we see comical pinata just sitting there. Someone must be able to explain it more than this...
I'm going to have to make one of those ruffians.

Leafos visits the museum commemorating all those that partied that day:

(and yes, that's actually Leafos -- as in, Louise Ridgeway, the real voice actress who portrays her in Viva Piñata)

Destructoid (http://www.destructoid.com/believa-pinata-followup-new-video-plus-exclusive-behind-the-scenes-with-rare-99709.phtml) has some additional behind the scenes info:
When the first Believe commercial was posted on Youtube, I thought it was pretty clear that it was an unofficial parody by a Halo fan. Turns out that assumption was more or less correct, as video creator James Thomas is indeed a Halo fan who made an unofficial spoof video -- the only important difference being that he "just so happened" to be a member of Rare as well.
James wanted to make a funny parody vid, but he didn't want to make it "official" and get bogged down in marketing rubbish that would rob the footage of its meme-like, amateurish look. So, for £50, some of the boys in Rare shot the commercial "guerrilla style" and released it onto Youtube.
Shortly after ... Rare gets a call from Microsoft, asking if they had anything to do with the video? The makers of the video explained that they had, apologized for not officially informing anyone, but suggested they'd like to keep the video up. Fortunately, Microsoft loved the idea and was very encouraging.
Henceforth, the Believa Piñata adverts continue, with this brand new vid that works as an unofficially official promotional campaign for Viva Piñata. Funnily, that was never the intention, as it was simply a fan vid made by a guy who simply happened to be working on VP, but it's all turned out quite nicely.
I didn't especially like the second vid.
Good to see MS wasn't the party pooper.

If you're interested in exploring the "Believa Pinata" filming set from every possible angle, you should check out this Photosynth: http://photosynth.net/view.aspx?cid=e450b6f3-6545-4c48-abd6-d6bda4844f0d
It's a little difficult to explain, but basically Photosynth reconstructs a 3D space from a large set of photos. If you haven’t seen it before, check out this intro first: http://photosynth.net/about.aspx
It looks neat, too bad you have to upload all the photos.

That's BIGsheep. Three of the VP:TIP team members gave up their own time to put the whole thing together over several months and then shoot and edited it all together.
We also have a Photosynth of the whole thing that lets you move around the set and view it from one of 751 photos: http://photosynth.net/view.aspx?cid=8e7ad3ed-2412-464c-9ba1-868c5a4f2986

They were limited-edition Burger King toys; you may be able to find them on eBay. ;)
