Wow, it is amazing to see how much of a wasteland it has become in one day. We have had 3 spambots today, and just the most random, pointless threads created by some people.

But I am glad that we moved here. This gives us a new face, like we have all just been given plastic surgery :D

I do miss the arcade though. That was where I played Tetris, right before I went to bed. Every night.

Haha Walter you were the king of that arcade. I do hope that it is possible to put an arcade up for here, but I don't remember if phpBB supports that. Although, to be honest, I think that one of the main reasons I played the arcade was because no one had said anything new on the forum.

I loved the other forum. It was my friend. I'm not weird, and I was a bit reluctant to move here... But this new place is very nice and will probably become an awesome forum.

And I loved the arcade, even though I wasn't very good at the games.

yeah i do hope it will be able to have an arcade. i usually found myself hitting the arcade button when there were no new posts, or when the clock was ticking past midnight. lack of posts or a slight case of insomnia?

Tauron

I think its both :P

Because I noticed for me, when it is 12:00 PM Eastern, people didn't seem to talk as much, which I found odd since it was only 9:00 PM Pacific Time. That is when I got a few games of Tetris and attempted my high score of Hexxagon again :P

yeah i noticed that too, i would be the only person on so id go play viva pinata or something for a few hours and then it would be morning or whatever for other people so there would be new posts to read :D

Changing forums was tough, yes, but Polly, the newly promoted PIF mod Spartan, and I took it pretty well--others, like Buzzenge, not so much.

Still, I would have liked all members to go out from VPF in a dignified way, but some decided to spam, now that they had impunity. Even so, these spammers should have had respect for a forum that many of us once cared so much for, and one that we are so saddened to leave.

I hope that things will change for the better here on PIF.

Well the majority of us took it well. It was only a select few that chose to soil VPF.

The switch wouldn't be so much of a problem if Buzz would just stop being, stubborn--he's quite an intractable fellow--and just joined us here.

Regardless of Buzz's reluctance to become a PIF member, I'm still happy that most of my friends (i.e. Polly, Spartan, TheInfinityZero, Annabelle, Ponocky, Snowbrigade, and others) are here.

I'll manage without Buzz.

So say we all.

I hate how had had quit VPF, and then comes back and decides to whine about the fact that VPF is being abandoned? HE QUIT!

ahem, i believe there is more than one king of the arcade. However, there was only 1 "leader of the leaderboards"

OMG you know I never clicked on that button before. WOW look at all the stuff there. Now I know why so many people are going to miss it so much.

People are adjusting to the change in some very different ways. I think that it would be worthwhile if we didn't talk about others, or at least not mention any names. Just a suggestion, so that we don't have any problems in the future! The arcade was a wonderful part of the old forum, but hopefully we can move on from there. In all honesty, it is probably one of the only things I will miss. The community is staying intact, for the most part, which is the most important thing. As we work together and grow together, I'm sure our new home will be better than we could ever imagine!

Good point Jessica. I am actually liking this change more. It gives us a fresh new start. The mods are right, the old forums were falling apart. People were leaving all of the time. We need to fix what has gone wrong.

Every time I visit the old forums I get this eerie deserted feeling :o

I know what you mean. I got there to play Tetris or just to see what the Stayers are doing, and I feel like I am walking in like some sort of abandoned city, like a nuclear bomb destroyed it all.

I feel like I'm in the ruins of a great civilation and that the "stayers" are savages. :P

The VPF reminds me of Act II in Diablo 2. (Haven't played that game in years.)

^ so true, and spartan is right about savages, it feels like buzzeng has lost his mind  . You know how it goes, we're all traveling on vacation, when the car runs out of gas in some ghost town ( VPF ), and slowly everyone in the group gets picked off one by one  :o  :o

Tauron, you could use that for the murder mystery

Well, the wasteland that VPF is turning into in its waning days considered, at least there are still people such as Spartan and I--and others that I did not mention--that are still around to keep some semblance of order.

But we will have to move exclusively to PIF soon, and to leave VPF to its fate.
